Welcome!!

Updated: Dec 29, 2020

Hello! My name is Casey, the owner and founder of Casey Cullen Counseling. I began working on my own practice at the beginning of 2020, with the hopes of encouraging clients to utilize the telehealth platform. I did not expect it, (like most of the world!), the need and impact telehealth services would provide.

I began working as a family therapist in 2014 as a clinical intern with the Home for Little Wanderers in Boston, Massachusetts. With this site, I worked as an in home family therapist, to support the families in the greater Boston area who experienced hardships in attaining therapeutic and behavioral services. My eyes opened to much need in this world- both in person and virtually. In continuing my career, I expanded to a variety of settings, including school systems, agencies, outpatient settings and group practices. I had the privilege to work with hundreds of clients with a variety of careers, race, socioeconomic status, political affiliation and religion. The common factor is that, We are all humans. Humans are complicated, challenged, flawed and incredible beings. We all need support at times. We all deserve support.

The year of 2020 has been quite a ride. The supportive network and skills we previously utilized were not accessible. Through it all, we have realized that having a support team helps us to cope with the changes. We all deserve a supportive network and team to encourage growth and gain.

Telehealth services can provide that space for anyone who is willing to engage in the process. While therapy may be hard, may be scary, may be a place where we need to be vulnerable, it is a place for growth and support and change. No matter the barriers, or the fears, therapy is two humans, meeting on a screen to make a stronger version of themselves. 2020 showed us how strong we can be. Let’s show 2021 how much stronger we can be.

Let’s step into 2021 together!!

Health, Happiness and Long Life,

Casey
